tranScrip, a leading specialist service provider in drug development, is poised for accelerated growth and wishes to appoint a Proposals Manager to support key business development activities.

This is an exciting role managing all aspects of our proposals process.  You will be absolutely key in preparing compelling and concise proposals for our clients, overseeing all aspects of the proposals process from client brief to signed contract. If you have a life science background and either medical writing or proposal writing experience, you could be exactly what we are looking for.

  • Work with tranScrip’s therapeutic and functional experts to identify client requirements and develop key aspects of the proposal specifications,  including deliverables and timelines
  • Schedule calls with clients as required
  • Preparation of concise and compelling proposals for each client, assuring accuracy and appropriateness of text and tables which will be refined during a review process
  • Liaise with the appropriate therapeutic experts for completion of any additional medical text or other specialist text/tables
  • Support & oversee preparation of proposal costing
  • Proactively lead and manage the proposal team and all aspects of the proposal process, from client brief to signed contract
  • Ensure compliance with proposal procedures and processes
  • Input opportunities and proposals into our salesforce system, ensuring the activity log is current at all times
  • Proactively manage proposals through the review process and ensure they are delivered to the client on time
  • If a submission date needs to be delayed for any reason, ensure the client is made aware and update the new submission date on salesforce
  • Allocate proposal codes 
  • Attend marketing logistics meetings and partner meetings and present updates on proposals and contracts status 
  • Create and present KPIs on proposals and contracts for Management and the Board
  • Proactively looking for trends/opportunities and feeding into marketing strategy meetings


  • Prepare contracts such as MSAs, LOAs, CDAs, Subcontractor agreements and amendments based on a template
  • Coordinate and track all elements of the contract review process ensuring compliance with our procedures and processes
  • Liaise with clients on any required changes to contracts/CDAs
  • Proactively track current contract expiry dates and manage the contract extension process where required
  • Initiate project set-up process for newly signed contracts and project close-out process for completed contracts
  • Maintain contract templates in line with changes to the prevailing law – liaising with legal partners as necessary
  • Ensure contract details are up-to-date in our salesforce system 
  • Manage annual rate increases with tranScrip management and subsequently with contractors and clients
  • Manage & track the subcontractors, ensuring SOPs and GDPR certificates are up to date.
  • Complete new client/vendor information forms as required


  • Train new staff on the proposal and contract processes
  • Update Internal Procedures where appropriate
  • Work with the marketing team tracking leads through to proposals
  • Deal with incoming phone calls and queries from clients or partners
  • Graduate level
  • Able to work full time and flexible hours
  • Experienced medical proposal writer, ideally with a contract research organisation
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Expert level of proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Powerpoint
  • Outstanding written and oral communication skills
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Flexible attitude towards working individually and part of a team
