Marcin is the Deputy Managing Partner of tranScrip, of which he was a co-founder in 2008. He is one of tranScrip’s drug development and medical affairs experts in the area of infectious diseases. Marcin has also considerable experience in respiratory medicine. He has worked in the industry for over 20 years and has held a number of senior positions in big pharma and biotech companies. He has been involved in the development of many anti-infective products, including antibiotics, antifungals and antivirals.
As Head of tranScrip’s Infectious Diseases team Marcin has provided leadership in the preparation of many successful MAAs/NDAs for antibiotics and antifungals involving interactions with regulatory agencies worldwide. In addition, he has extensive expertise in product launches and has been involved in the launch and life cycle management of several anti-infective products.
Marcin’s experience in the pre-authorisation stage of development includes strategy for early development of anti-infective products, including PK/PD and microbiology, design and management of clinical studies, preparation of regulatory submissions and interactions with regulatory authorities, worldwide. He has also considerable experience in the peri-launch period, and has been involved in the launch and lifecycle management of several products.
Marcin graduated from the Medical University in Warsaw, where he worked for several years in pneumonology and infectious diseases departments. He is board-certified in Internal Medicine.
Before joining tranScrip, he held several positions at Bristol-Myers Squibb, where he worked as the Director of Clinical Research for Infectious Diseases and also as the European Medical Lead for HIV. He later worked at Chiron Biopharmaceuticals as the Senior Director for Infectious Diseases and General Medicine, responsible for drug development and medical affairs activities in Europe.
