An exciting opportunity has arisen at tranScrip, a leading life sciences consultancy based in Winnersh Triangle. This is a temporary position, with the potential to become permanent in the future. We are seeking an experienced Business Development & Marketing Executive with an interest in the Life Sciences industry to join our team.

You will be joining tranScrip at an exciting time, since receiving a significant minority investment the company is currently in a period of rapid growth. The successful candidate must be confident and pro-active when speaking to prospective clients and feel comfortable explaining the unique selling points of tranScrip's capabilities and offerings.

The candidate should also be a self-starter, work well under pressure and demonstrate excellent time management skills. A good sense of judgment to prioritise a diverse workload and urgent tasks is also required for this role.

Business Development

  • Develop in-depth knowledge of tranScrip’s capabilities and services to communicate them to prospective clients
  • Generate new business opportunities by leveraging various data analysis tools to identify potential targets
  • Manage and track company announcements, including funding and new products, and ensure opportunities are followed up
  • Produce and perform outreaches to targets and prospective clients
  • Capture and track outreaches throughout the client journey from initial contact through to Marketing Qualified Lead (MQL), Sales Qualified Lead (SQL) and contract
  • Produce, update and present business development reports from the CRM database (Salesforce)
  • Ensure account management tasks have been performed for live and past accounts
  • Leverage congresses and events to identify company targets
  • Support the development and monitoring of company KPIs

Marketing

  • Support with the development and distribution of mailers, newsletters, publications and email outreach campaigns
  • Support webinar logistics and related direct marketing campaigns
  • Attend and present at internal team meetings
  • Ensure CRM database (Salesforce) is continuously up to date showing real-time data
  • Schedule internal and external meetings and minute taking as requested
  • Diary management as required

Essential

  • 2 or more years' experience in Business Development and/or Marketing
  • An interest in Life Sciences
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 suite

Desirable

  • Life Science or pharmaceutical experience
  • Experience of working to targets and deadlines
  • Experience of working with a CRM database
  • Market research, reporting and analytical skills
