Sarah Daniels conquered Mount Kilimanjaro at 8.00hrs on 11/08/11.This is the highest mountain in Africa and the worlds 4th highest summit. The oxygen level at the summit is less than half of that at sea level, so this one of the hardest mental and physical challenges. Never-the-less, eight out of the group of 10 made it to the summit, after 5 days climbing. Sarah has so far raised £3317.00 (£4019.50 including gift aid) for her chosen charity ‘Motec Life-UK’ all of which will be used for the NUWLIFE programme for the malnourished in Northern Ghana. And yet another partner joins TranScrip - Professor Tim Higenbottam

Tim Higenbottam brings over 25 years of experience in Academic Respiratory Medicine and Pharmaceutical Medicine. Tim was Professor of Medicine in Sheffield before joining AstraZeneca R&D, where he led the process to link the selection of molecular targets for new therapies to major unmet needs in COPD and Asthma and development of outcome measures and study design for PoC. He joined Chiesi Farmaceutici as Corporate Director for Clinical Development, accountable for some 36 human studies per year for approval of Respiratory Therapies, across all Phases. He created strong Statistic/Data-Management and Clinical Pharmacology departments to support this work. In addition to his work at TranScrip, he is supporting two projects in the Innovative Medicine Initiatives (EU and Pharmaceutical Industry Joint Undertaking) and is the chairman of the Professional Standards Committee of the Faculty of Pharmaceutical Medicine of the Royal College of Physicians.
Another partner joins TranScrip - Dr. John Hutchison

TranScrip is delighted to announce another major new appointments, John Hutchison as a Senior Partner.
John is a pharmaceutical physician with a CNS specialism and was CMO and an Executive Board Member at Vernalis for 10 years, overseeing the Company’s development portfolio of CNS, pain and anti-obesity products, gaining the successful approval of the migraine treatment Frova, and actively involved with fundraising and M&A activities, restructuring the portfolio and R&D group during three corporate acquisitions. Latterly, John was CMO and head of R&D at Renovo, specialising in wound healing and scarring therapies, before joining TranScrip.

An eminent microbiologist has joined the infectious disease team. Tony White has 35 years experience in antibacterial microbiology, development, and scientific communications in Beecham / SmithKline Beecham / GlaxoSmithKline and as an independent consultant. A genuine leader in the space; past trustee and member of Council of BSAC and core member of the BSAC Surveillance Working Party. Member of BSAC Working Group `The Urgent Need` for new antibacterials.
• Participation on working groups of ESCMID, EFPIA, EU, IFPMA and WHO on antibacterial development and use. Past Joint Chair of EFPIA working group on antibacterial resistance and participant in ReACT consortium for sustainable antibacterial development and use. Expert reviewer for EU framework proposals
• Author/presenter of publications and presentations on antibacterial properties, surveillance, development and use in/at international journals and conferences
